About the Research
GrivavaLAB studies whether space weather — solar activity, geomagnetic storms, cosmic rays — measurably correlates with human physiology and behavior. We are deliberately a small, independent, open-data operation.
The field of solar-weather and human-health research has a long history of over-claiming. We set out to test correlations the right way — lagged cross-correlation, multiple-comparison control (Benjamini–Hochberg FDR), seasonal detrending, surrogate-data significance testing — and to report null results honestly when effects don't survive scrutiny.
1Independence & Funding
- Self-funded and independent — no industry or institutional sponsor can steer our conclusions.
- We publish negative findings alongside positive ones (see the Research Log).
- Our data come exclusively from public open-access sources (NOAA SWPC, NASA, SILSO, ESA).
3Data Governance
- All raw telemetry is archived and versioned; every figure is reproducible from stored data.
- Analyses are documented end-to-end in our methodology and blog posts.
- We correct and republish — see the changelog notes on individual reports.
4Transparency & Verification
Interested in the numbers behind our work? Everything we publish is backed by a machine-readable pipeline:
- Live metrics: /api/live/current (JSON)
- Time series & CSV export: /api/v1
- Methodology & stats framework: /methodology/
- Agent access: MCP server at /mcp (5 tools)
